BUCHANAN
Deborah P. Buchanan, 57, of Longwood, passed away July 10, 2010 in Altamonte Springs.
She was born July 10, 1953 in Titusville and worked as a manager at the VFW.
She is survived by her husband, Emmitt “Buck” Buchanan of Longwood; sisters, Carolyn DeWitt of Sanford, Norma Badger of Sanford and Patricia (Bob) Landy of Auburndale; brothers, David (Brenda) Jackson of Farmington and Robert (Karen) Partain of Weirsdale; sons, John (Michele) Willis of Eusitis and David Willis of Lake Mary; 27 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Oaklawn Park Cemetery in Lake Mary.

CAROLYN PETREY
CORNELIUS
Carolyn Petrey Cornelius, 93, passed away July 10, 2010, at the home of her daughter, Dr. Catherine P. Cornelius, in Avon Park.
She was born April 21, 1917, in Petrey, Ala., to Henry Grady and Susie Robinson Petrey. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Roderick and Karl, and her husband of 66 years, Thomas Burch Cornelius. Raised in Haines City, she also lived in Zephyrhills, Dade City, Gainesville, Madison, Wauchula, Tampa and Sanford. She enjoyed participating in the Garden Club, Woman's Club, UDC, Daughters of the American Revolution and the First United Methodist Church. She was graduated from Howard College (now Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.) and also attended the University of Florida.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Catherine P. Cornelius; her son, Dr. William B. Cornelius (Mary); her brothers Roger A. and Harry G. Petrey; her sister Katherine P. Minor; her grandsons William B., Robert B. (Kristen), and Richard B. Cornelius; two great-grandchildren Noah B. and Elijah K. Cornelius; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.

JOAN MARIE HASSETT
Joan Marie Hassett, 77, of DeLand, went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2010.
Joan was born on May 6, 1933 in Syracuse, N.Y. the daughter of Paul & Dorothy Graham LaFave. Joan was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her children, Cherise & Tom Edwards of DeLand, Nancy Beach of Ormond Beach, Kathleen Maurice, Richard & Sue Hassett and Anne Marie Riser, all of Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Paul LaFave; sisters, Rita Lanni and Doureen Ristiff; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home in Orange City. Funeral Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Cindy E. Jackson, 50, of Sanford, passed away July 6, 2010.
She was born in Jacksonville, Fla. and lived in Sanford for 48 years. She was a member of the St. James AME Church.
She is survived by her sons, Johnathan Jones and Cedric Jackson, both of Sanford; daughters, Cindy N. and Alison Jackson, both of Sanford; husband, Johnny Carter of Smithville, Ga.; mother, Naomi Moore of Sanford; brothers, Willie Nelms, Jr., of Bunnell, Tyrie Nelms of Chipley, and David Moore and Clarence Walker, both of Orange City; sisters, Alma Davis of Daytona Beach, Lynn Smith of Sanford and Gail Fulton of Valdosta, Ga.; and 10 grandchildren.

FRANCIS LAMAGNA
Francis Lamagna, 92, of Longwood, passed away July 10, 2010 in Longwood.
He was born August 22, 1917 in New York, N.Y. and worked as a truck driver. He was also a member of the Church of Annunciation.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Jeanette (John) Davison of Longwood; son, Frank (Maureen) Lamagna, Jr. of Englishtown, N.J.; daughter, Mary Ann (Michael) Andrillo of Somerset, N.J.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Oaklawn Chapel of Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Sanford. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Church of Annunciation with Father mark Wajda officiating.

WILLIAM “JUNEBUG”
FRANKLIN LEEP, JR.
William “Junebug” Franklin Leep Jr., 61, of Lake Mary, passed away July 6, 2010 at his home.
Junebug was born September 26, 1948 in Huntington, W.V. and was the son of the late William Franklin and Bedelia Idona (Brown) Leep.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, later moved to Florida where he was an employee of Howe Industries and eventually became the owner of Dun Rite Pressure Cleaning until his retirement.
He loved NASCAR, and attended as many NASCAR events as possible, especially the race at Bristol, Tenn. He also enjoyed fishing, and attended the Crappie Masters Kids Fishing Tournament with his grandson every year.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of Lake Mary; a daughter, Lisa
(Jack) Massey of Sanford; grandchildren Tyler & Alayna Massy; and 4 sisters.
A Graveside Service was held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Lake Mary on Monday.

EDNA STICH PRIEST
Edna Stich Priest, 90, went home to be with her Lord on July 11, 2010 at the Emeritus Assisted Living in Lake Mary.
Edna was born March 30, 1920 in Clearwater. Her family relocated to Sanford when she was 16 years old. She graduated from Seminole High School where she played on the girl’s basketball and volleyball teams. She became active at the First United Methodist Church where she met her late husband of 70 years, Randall Priest. She was always planning and participating in functions for family, at church, or school. Edna won many gold, silver, and bronze swimming medals at the Golden Age Olympics - her specialty was the backstroke. Edna, a talented artist, was a member of the Seminole Art Association. She won various show ribbons for her works in pastels.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Sarah F. Smithey, Sanford, Elisabeth E. (Monty) Davis, Williston, S.C.; Louise P. (Earl) Blackwelder, Sanford; Emily M. (Tom) Cook, Lake Mary; 2 sons, Randall D. (Sarah)
Priest, Jr., Sanford and Daniel P (Renee) Priest, Sanford; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Gramkow Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Memorial Service that evening at 7 p.m. with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Jones officiating.
