Bertha D. “Bertie” Brough, 85, passed away August 1, 2010 at her home in Sanford.
Bertie was born on October 29, 1924 to her parents Samuel and Amanda Dolan in Pottstown, Pa. In 1955 she married her late husband Lt. Donald James Brough, a career Navy Navigator, and settled in Sanford in 1957 at the old Sanford Naval Air Station. During her working years she was a long time Sanford banker with Flagship and SunTrust Banks. After retiring from banking, she volunteered for many years as a Dividend with the Seminole County Public Schools, specifically with Layer and Pinecrest Elementary schools. As a thank you for for Bertie's many years of service to the schools, she was recognized many times as a Dividend of the Year. Pinecrest Elementary recently honored Bertie's dedicated service by renaming the school auditorium as the Bertie Brough Assembly Hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Copeland, Longwood; niece, Stephanie Brennan, Hobe Sound, Fla.; and great-nephews and great-great-nieces.
The family will receive friends at a gathering at the Gramkow Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bertie Brough's memory to the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools 400 East Lake Mary Blvd., Sanford, Fla. 32773 c/o Eric Geboff.

GARY WILLIAM FOGG
Gary William Fogg, 40, passed away July 25, 2010 at the Central Florida Regional Hospital.
Gary was born on June 15, 1970 to William and Alice Fogg in Laconia, N.H. He was a chef at Angelo’s on First Street in Downtown Sanford. He was previously the Chef at Christo’s Classics. He enjoyed carpentry, heavy metal music and loved his many nieces and nephews. Gary was a member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 1851 in Sanford.
He is survived by his family, brother, Kevin Fogg, Bonifay, Fla.; brother, Cory Bellard, Manchester, N.H.; sister, Patrina Medina, DeLand; and nieces and nephews. Gary is also survived by a host of friends and co-workers.
A viewing was held on Thursday, July 29th from 10 a.m. to noon with a service celebrating his life at noon following the viewing at the Gramkow Funeral Home. A burial took place following the service at the Sylvan Lake Cemetery in Payola, Fla.

LILLIAN MARTINEZ VILLAFANE
Lillian Martinez Villafane, 83, passed away July 30, 2010 at her home in Lake Mary.
Lillian was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on May 15, 1927 to her parents Pio Martinez and Maria T. Colon. She enjoyed cooking and playing the piano. She was an active member of Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Lillian was also a Minister of Communion.
She is survived by her family, her husband, Guillermo Villafane, Lake Mary, and many nieces and nephews.
