STETSON MEN
Mehki Ellison hit a half-court buzzer-beater to lift the Stetson men's basketball team (7-14, 5-3 ASUN) to a 67-66 victory over Eastern Kentucky at Alumni Coliseum on Thursday night.
Ellison led the Hatters with 15 points and also recorded a team-high four assists. Abramo Canka added 12 points, while Jordan Wood and Josh Massey chipped in 11 apiece. Canka and Treyton Thompson each grabbed a team-high six rebounds with Canka adding two steals.
The team then headed across the state to Louisville where Treyton Thompson set a new career high with 23 points, leading Stetson to an 81-76 victory over Bellarmine at legendary Freedom Hall, marking the Hatters' third straight win.
Thompson led Stetson with a career-best 23 points, adding seven rebounds and two assists. Ellison contributed 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Wood and Jamir Phillips Jr. also scored in double digits, with 14 and 12 points, respectively. Phillips Jr. and Canka shared the team lead in rebounds with eight each.

The Hatters are in Jacksonville today (Wednesday) to take on North Florida at UNF Arena at 7 p.m. and will travel to Fort Myers on Saturday to challenge FGCU at Alico Arena at 1 p.m. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
STETSON WOMEN
The Stetson women’s basketball team (10-10, 4-4 ASUN) stormed back from a third-quarter deficit with a dominant fourth-quarter performance to secure an 83-68 victory over Eastern Kentucky Thursday night at the Insight Credit Union Arena. The Hatters outscored the Colonels 33-15 in the final period, improving to 8-1 at home this season.
Stetson had five players score in double figures, led by Cameron Thomas, who poured in 25 points and added two steals. Quentarra Mitchell contributed 14 points, six rebounds, and five steals, while Promise Keshi was a force off the bench, tallying 12 points, eight rebounds, six steals, and four blocks. Mary McMillan added 12 points and six assists, while Jorah Eppley chipped in with 10 points.
But despite a strong performance from Diawna Carter-Hartley, who recorded her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Stetson fell 67-52 to Bellarmine on Saturday afternoon at the Insight Credit Union Arena.
Thomas was the team's leading scorer with 16 points, while Mitchell filled the stat sheet with eight points, eight rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.

The Hatters will return to action with a rare morning contest on Thursday, hosting Austin Peay for Elementary Day at 11 a.m. in the friendly confines of the Insight Credit Union Arena, and will complete a 4-game homestand against Lipscomb on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
