High school should be where you find out what you are good at. Discover what career you want to pursue. See if you want to go to college. Firstly, I’ve discovered a lot of things in High School such as, There would be people to make you down and there would be people to see you win. I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with high school. At first, I was trying too many things until, loved working on Computer and Network Security Projects. I was over the moon when our team got nominated for the State competition in my sophomore year. We had many rounds of competitions which as a team we enjoyed working and solving every little problem together and going to Orlando to compete with other schools and Network with other companies to brighten up our future. I've experienced it all. There were moments in sophomore year, I would feel low, but then I would remember my Grandpa looking at me and dreaming his little girl is reaching for new heights everyday. I think I’ve never been attached or liked working on something other than the cybersecurity competitions, there were moments when it was impossible but my team was phenomenal. In my Junior year, I was part of the Asian Student Association as an Officer. It’s a club where you represent yourself, your country, and your culture with others. I met some of the most amazing and supporting friends. I’ve always felt shy about representing my culture, my food, and my country, because I was bullied in my elementary school for eating something that looked bad and for wearing something that looked ugly. Here I am after all these years, representing my roots and my heritage. Little, Eman would have never thought she would reach here. I’m satisfied with how many blessings and opportunities I’ve been given living in this country with the support of my immigrant parents and I’m hoping to make a change in this world one day.
