Jacob Ilgenfritz is an 11th grader at Crooms Academy of Information Technology. Some of his favorite things to do include developing games and managing my online business, “Fard Games Entertainment” . He also likes to animate in his free time and go outdoors to explore.
My experience at Crooms Academy has had a big impact on not only my life but also my maturity. When I was young, I had always dreamed of making a game series, but that never happened until the start of 9th grade when I joined a game and simulation class here at Crooms. Eventually I used my skills to make a game series based around one of my best friends, and I would make my company on Itch.io. This helped me mature into more of an adult, introducing me to business and other things at a young age. Discovering game development has been a big thing for me, and I really enjoy what I do because not only is it a hobby, but it is a lifestyle. I think the environment at Crooms Academy is really great for those seeking out a way to turn into a young adult; even if you have no interest in game development, there will be a vast amount of choices for you at this school. At Crooms you get a firsthand experience of what it is like to work at a job; you will have the opportunity to take classes that are based around what you want for your future along with other things to help introduce you into the workforce and college. I may not be able to go back to middle school and prove to my old rivals who I am now but I can surely show the world who I have become.
