Meals on Wheels, Etc. to host Annual March for Meals 5K Brunch

Special to the Herald

Make your steps count for a great cause! Meals on Wheels, Etc. will host its annual March for Meals 5K Brunch on Saturday, March 15 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs.

For a tax-deductible donation of $35, the event includes an optional 3.1 mile walk/run around the beautiful lake with music and a complimentary tasting menu provided by Meals on Wheels, Etc. very own, Top Hat Catering. Your donation provides five nourishing meals for a senior in Seminole County, including a visit from a Meals on Wheels, Etc. volunteer.

“For over 50 years, Meals on Wheels, Etc. has been a cornerstone of care for Seminole County seniors,” said Mike McKee, executive director of Meals on Wheels, Etc. “The March for Meals 5K Brunch is more than just a walk; it’s a celebration of community, a chance to raise awareness, and an opportunity to fund vital programs that support our seniors.”

Adults can register online for $35 and children 16 and under can register for $15. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase. Each registered walker will receive a Meals on Wheels, Etc. swag bag (while supplies last).

Registration will be available at 7:45 a.m. on the morning of the event and will be $40 for adults and $20 for children.
