Through the support and partnership of Visit Central Florida Sports and Polk County Public Schools, the 2025 Florida High School Competitive Cheerleading State Championships returned to Lakeland and the RP Funding Center the weekend of January 31 and February 1. Taking place within Jenkins Arena, this was the third time in the event’s history that the RP Funding Center has hosted the championships.
Taking place over two-days, the competitive cheerleading state championships crowned 12 divisional champions over two classifications (1A & 2A). All Class 1A divisions competed on Friday, and all Class 2A divisions competed on Saturday. An awards ceremony was conducted following competition each day.
Locally, Lake Mary High School, under Head Coach Paige Black, won its ninth straight state championship, winning the Class 2A Extra Large Varsity (21-to-30 competitors on the floor at the same time) for the seventh consecutive year.
Also, Hagerty High School, under Head Coach Sara Graham and assistant coaches Mike Catalfamo and Madison Grigsby, won its seventh Class 2A Small Non-Tumbling (12 competitors) State Championship.
