HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER
The Oviedo High School boys and Lake Mary High School girls won Regional Championships on Wednesday and will advance to the 2025 FHSAA Class 4A-7A State Championships at Soccer Stadium Field at Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale.
The No. 3 seeded Rams edged No. 4 Winter Park, 1-0, at Don T. Reynolds Stadium in the Class 7A-Region 1 final and will face Palm Harbor University at 4 p.m. on Monday. Jupiter and Cypress Bay will square off in the other semifinal at 7 p.m. with the winners advancing to the Championship Game on Friday at 1 p.m.
The No. 2 seeded Lions and top-seeded Wiregrass Ranch battled to a 3-3 tie through regulation and two overtime periods before visiting Oviedo won 4-3 in Penalty Kicks.
The Lions will face Mandarin at 1 p.m. in the Class 6A Semifinals on Thursday, following a match between Mitchell and Olympic Heights. The winners will meet for the Championship next Saturday (February 22) at 4 p.m.

SSC SOFTBALL
The Seminole State College of Florida softball team (8-0) traveled to Avon Park last Thursday and swept a doubleheader with South Florida State College, 14-1 and 11-2, both games ending by Run Rule after five innings.
The Raiders are back Sanford and will wrap up a 3-date homestand today (Saturday), hosting South Florida State College in a noon doubleheader at Courtney Miller Field. SSC played a single game on Wednesday against Cleveland State University (Ohio) and doubleheader with St. Johns River Community College on Thursday.

SSC BASEBALL
The Seminole State College of Florida baseball team (7-4) traveled to Daytona Beach on Tuesday for a game with Daytona State College and returned to Sanford with a 6-3 victory.
The Raiders opened Citrus Conference play with State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota visiting Jack Pantelias Field on Thursday before the two teams packed up to return to Bradenton for a doubleheader today (Saturday).
On Tuesday, CBCC-Catonsville (Maryland) will be at The Jack for a 2 p.m. game.

New Smyrna Speedway is hosting the final night of the 2025 World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing tonight (Saturday) with features for the E Modifieds (35 laps), Ashley Homes JAX Trucks (35 laps), Super Stocks (35 laps) and Bomber B (35 laps).
Spectator gates open at 3:30 p.m. with racing starting at 7:30 p.m.
The track is located at the corner of SR. 44 and CR 415, between New Smyrna, DeLand and Daytona.

STETSON WOMEN
Cameron Thomas, Mary McMillan, and Diawna Carter-Hartley combined for 53 points, leading the Stetson women’s basketball team to a thrilling 68-63 victory over the Jacksonville Dolphins (12-13 overall, 6-7 ASUN) at the Insight Credit Union Arena on Wednesday night. The trio stepped up in the final moments, with Carter-Hartley putting Stetson ahead by one at the free-throw line, and Thomas sealing the win with a steal and an and-1 layup. The victory not only improved the Hatters' impressive home record to 11-2 but also secured a spot in the upcoming ASUN Championship.
Stetson, now 14-11 overall and 8-5 in ASUN play, was led by Thomas, who finished with 23 points. McMillan added 16 points, seven assists, and two steals. Carter-Hartley chipped in 14 points.

The Stetson men's basketball team (7-18, 5-7 ASUN) is on a trip to Tennessee, having played in Nashville against Lipscomb on Thursday at Allen Arena, before heading to Clarksville today (Saturday) to challenge Austin Peay at F&M Bank Arena at 5 p.m. The Hatters will be at home on Tuesday, welcoming North Florida to Insight Credit Union Arena at Edmunds Center for a 7 p.m. tip. UCF baseball opened its 2025 season on Friday when the Knights welcomed Siena to town for the first a three-game series at John Euliano Park.
Games two is today (Saturday) at 6:30 p.m. and the final game is set for Sunday at 1 p.m.
