SANFORD — After a fairly crummy winter, at least for Florida, and with the warmest weather hitting the area since September, over 130 days, LMSA sailors came out of dry dock to take part in a pair of club events.
And with a large number of events and regatta’s dotting the calendar, action figures to heat up even more on local waterways.
The LMSA held its second Club Championship Series race of 2025 on Saturday, February 8, and it was Jim White piloting Bad JuJu to a pair of wins and a third-place finish to score 5-points to win the day.
Max Perez on Ole Yeller was next with nine points and Bill Holstein and Black Jack Bill was third with 12 points.
The LMSA held its first Full Moon Race of the year on Wednesday, February 12, and it was Show Me and Andy Forrest winning the overall title and top finishing Displacement Boat by 31-seconds over Jim White at the helm of Fleur de Mer III and Shajaira under Captain Bob Fellingham placing third.
