Just because he is President of the United States of America, does n't mean he can see what the bureau crats are doing with the taxpayer's money. The bureaucrats mantra is: Presidents and other politicians are here for four years, we bureaucrats are here forever, thus we are in charge and not them. We can delay any inves tigation of the bureaucratic state by using the courts to stop any momen tum to expose any corruption. The general public can be manipulated to cheer for our side.
What Trump is trying to do is disrupt the bureaucratic state. Very hard to do. A revolution sometimes is the only way to break the stranglehold on the government by its minions.
Two examples that did, were the French revolution of 1789 and the Russian revolution of 1917. In both cases, the offices of the bureaucracy were invaded and the records of the state were thrown out the window or burned. The tentacles of the adminis trative state were destroyed.
Trump is trying to do essen tially the same thing without the vio lence. He got into USAID before the courts could react to Democrat com plaints. In other departments, judges acting on behalf of the opposition, are trying to tie him up in the court system.
In the case of the Treasury, a judge has ordered all information so far obtained by DOGE, be immediately destroyed. Fat chance that will hap pen, it is all on a thumb drive some where.
Bureaucracy will never be the same, modern search engines with A.I. will do to government suppression of information what drones are doing to warfare.
