STETSON WOMEN
The Stetson women’s basketball team (15-13, 9-7 ASUN) split a pair of road games, at West Georgia and Queens College.
The Hatters erased a 10-point deficit late in the third quarter to secure a 68-58 road victory over the West Georgia Wolves on Thursday, led by Tiasia McMillan, who posted a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. McMillan's performance followed her milestone achievement of hitting 1,000 career points in the previous game. Diawna Carter-Hartley also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, marking just the second time this season that two Hatters have accomplished the feat in the same game. Quentarra Mitchell added 11 points off the bench, while Shelby Calhoun contributed 10 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
Stetson got 20 points from their bench but fell 75-64 to Queens (NC) on Saturday night, closing out their regular-season road schedule. The Hatters had just two players reach double figures, led by Shelby Calhoun with 16 points and two steals. Cameron Thomas added 12 points, while Jorah Eppley chipped in seven points and two steals.
Up Next:
The team was to have hosted North Florida on Thursday and will close out the regular season against Florida Gulf Coast today (Saturday) at Insight Credit Union Arena at The Edmund’s Center at 2 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
UCF BASEBALL
The UCF baseball team got the tying run in scoring position in both the eighth and ninth innings, but Florida Atlantic managed to hold on to defeat the Knights, 4-3, on Tuesday evening at John Euliano Park.
With the setback, UCF drops to 6-2 on the season while the Owls improve to 7-1.
DeAmez Ross and Edian Espinal led the Knights offensively by recording three hits apiece, while Andrew Williamson went 2-for-3 with the two-run home run and a walk.

UCF is on the road for the first time in 2025 for a three-game series in Tampa against rival South Florida at the USF Baseball Stadium. Today’s (Saturday) second game is at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+. The Sunday finale is set for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+ as well as FM 96.9 The Game.
The Knights will return to John Euliano Park on Tuesday to host No. 8 Florida at 6 p.m. and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
ORLANDO VALKYRIES
The hottest team in Pro Volleyball Federation, the Orlando Valkyries, maDe it six in a row after sweeping the Vegas Thrill Saturday at Addition Financial Arena on the UCF campus, 3-0 (25-15, 25-21 and 25-17).

The track is located at 1500 East State Road 40 in DeLeon Springs. Take either FL-11 North or Highway-17 out of DeLand and go to SR-40 and turn left (West) if using 11 or right (East) if using 17.
STETSON MEN
Six Hatters scored in double figures, but Stetson fell to the FGCU Eagles 83-80 at home last Thursday (Feb. 20). With the game tied at 78 and 53 seconds left, Jamie Phillips Jr. made a layup to give Stetson an 80-78 lead, but FGCU hit a three on their next possession. The Hatters missed their final two shot attempts, falling 83-80.
The hosts had six players in double figures, led by Phillips Jr. with 16 points. Josh Massey added 15 points, seven rebounds, and two steals, while Jordan Wood chipped in 12 points. Finley Sheridan and Tristan Gross provided valuable bench scoring with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Mehki Ellison rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points and a team-high seven assists.
Stetson bounced back quickly, however, securing a spot in the ASUN Championship Tournament with a 69-67 victory over Bellarmine on Senior Night, Monday. Prior to the game, the Hatters honored Treyton Thompson, Josh Massey, Blaize Sagna and Jordan Wood for their contributions to the team.
Phillips Jr. led Stetson with 17 points, while Ellison contributed 14 off the bench. Massey added 12 points, and Blaize Sagna and Sheridan chipped in with 11 and 10, respectively.
Despite 20-point performances from Ellison and Phillips Jr., the Hatters ended the regular season with a 79-72 loss to the Jacksonville Dolphins on Wednesday night.

Stetson, seeded No. 9, will play No. 10 Central Arkansas in the First Round of the ASUN Tournament at Allen Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday at 7 p.m. and the winner will advance to Round 2 to face top-seeded and host Lipscomb on Monday at 7 p.m. The games will be streamed on ESPN+.
SSC BASEBALL
The Seminole State College of Florida baseball team (13-6 overall, 4-2 Citrus Conference) stayed hot, going on the road and easing past Lake Sumter State College in Leesburg, 8-3, on Tuesday.
The Raiders hosted East Florida State on Thursday and will travel to Cocoa for a doubleheader with the EFSC Titans today (Saturday). The team will return to “The Jack” on Monday to host Jackson College from Michigan at 2 p.m.

SSC SOFTBALL
The Seminole State College of Florida softball team (18-2, 2-0 Citrus Conference) opened Citrus Conference play with a doubleheader sweep of Santa Fe College, 1-0 and 6-1, at Courtney Miller Field on Tuesday.
The Raiders traveled to Ft. Myers to tackle Florida SouthWestern on Thursday in a doubleheader and will head to Winter Haven on Tuesday to tackle Polk State College in a deuce at 1 p.m.

The Semi-Co-Ed/Fun League on Wednesday has completed the regular season and will be playing its Postseason Tournament this week with No. 3 playing No. 2 at 6:30 p.m. and No. 1 taking on No. 4 at 7:30 p.m. The semifinal winners will advance to the Championship Game at 8:30 p.m.
