Sandra Dunn Parker of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born in Sanford to Sam & Alice Hodgins Dunn. She spent her childhood roaming around Sanford on her horse Trigger, surf fishing, attending dance classes, going to the beach and participating in many school activities.
She worked as a reporter for the Sanford Herald, The New Kensington (PA) Daily Dispatch and the Corner Cupboard in Orlando. She enjoyed 25 years with OUC retiring as Customer Relations Supervisor.
Sandra bloomed in her time with Beta Sigma Phi, treasured the Celery Fed reunions. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with the various camping groups she and her husband had joined. She loved reading, music, poetry, dancing, surf fishing, spending time with her family and entertaining. She cherished the many dear friends she amassed in her lifetime, and they cherished her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 39 years David Francis Parker Jr., sister Pat Morris, brother Sammy Dunn, sister-in-law Veda Dunn, stepson Richard Parker & granddaughter Jennifer Parker.
She is survived by her children Charles (Maxine) Berg, Gregory Berg, bonus children Cheryl (Steve) Grieb, David (Lavetra) Parker, Dale (Carole) Parker, Debbie Parker & Donna (Michael) Smith, 17 grandchildren, many great grands and a few great-great grands, sisters Margo (Jerry) Austin, Susan (Charlie) Koke, brother Billy (Penny) Dunn and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 1st at The National Cremation Society 7565 Red Bug Lake Rd, Oviedo 1-3 PM.
