NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY
The Florida Sunbelt Series makes it 2025 debut tonight (Saturday) as the David Rogers Super Late Models take to the high banks of the New Smyrna Speedway for Twin 50 lap main events.
The always entertaining Sportsman division will kick off their 2025 season as well, along with the Bomber A and Ground Ground Pounder classes.
There will be an Early Open Practice for all divisions with gates opening at 9 a.m. and Practice from 10 a.m. to noon.
Tickets are just $15 with the Early Bird Special (before 6 p.m.) and $20 after that. Kids 11 and under are FREE!
Spectator gates open at 3:30 p.m. with Qualifying/Heats at 6 p.m. and racing starting at 7:30 p.m.
The track is located at the corner of SR. 44 and CR 415, between New Smyrna, DeLand and Daytona.

UCF SOFTBALL
The UCF softball team will wrap up a 3-game Big 12 Conference series against the Iowa State Cyclones today (Saturday) at noon at the UCF Softball Complex. The Knights will remain at home to host national No. 4 Florida on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
VOLUSIA SPEEDWAY PARK
Fresh off a near-perfect run with 18 out of 19 race nights completed at Volusia Speedway Park in 2025, the track in DeLeon Springs/Barberville is set to continue its 57th season with the beginning of the year-long points chase tonight (Saturday).
The season-opening Spring Fling features the “Fab 5” divisions that will chase a “World’s Fastest Half Mile” championship, starring the 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, 3/4 Modifieds and Factory Stocks.
Grandstand gates and ticket sales open at 4 p.m., Hot Laps at 6 p.m., followed by Opening Ceremonies and Racing.

The Seminole State College of Florida softball team (26-8, 8-6 Citrus Conference) swept Daytona State College in a conference road doubleheader on Tuesday, 4-0 and 9-7.
The Raiders will return to Courtney Miller Park to host Hillsborough Community College today (Saturday) starting at noon and remain at home to welcome the College of Central Florida to Sanford on Tuesday for a ‘double-dip’ at 2 p.m.

The Seminole State College of Florida baseball team (19-12 overall, 8-6 Citrus Conference) outscored St. Johns River State College, 13-10, in a non-conference game on Tuesday at Jack Pantelias Field.
The Raiders opened a 3-game Conference series at home against Indian River State College on Thursday and the teams are in Ft. Pierce today (Saturday) for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. The team will return to “The Jack” on Tuesday to host East Florida State College on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
