The Sanford Cultural Guild is proud to announce the 5th annual Sanford Historic Garden tour, a highly anticipated event that will showcase the breathtaking beauty of Sanford’s private gardens.
Mark your calendars for April 5th, 2025, from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. for an extraordinary day
celebrating nature, art and community in the heart of Historic Sanford.
Hosted by the Sanford Cultural Guild, this year’s tour will feature 10 stunning private gardens, each offering a unique glimpse into the lush landscapes and creative designs of local garden enthusiasts. In addition to these private gems, the Sanford Community Garden will be included
as a key stop on the tour, allowing visitors to explore this important community-driven space.
A highlight of the day will be the Tea Lunch, available through pre-sale tickets only. Guests can enjoy a delightful and relaxing tea experience, surrounded by the beauty of the gardens. Tickets for the Tea Lunch can be purchased online at SanfordCulturalGuild.org.
The event will also offer a vibrant vendor market and plant sale from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, where attendees can purchase local plants, garden supplies, and unique artisan goods. The Bettye D. Smith Cultural Arts Center, located at 119 W. 5th St. in Sanford, will serve as headquarters for the day’s festivities.
As guests stroll through the gardens, they’ll also be treated to live music, plein air artists creating onsite masterpieces, and garden educators who will provide insightful demonstrations on topics ranging from bee and butterfly conservation to the importance of Florida native plants.
Representatives from the Florida Native Plant Society and the Master Gardener Program will be available to share their expertise, making it an educational experience for garden enthusiasts of all levels.
The Sanford Cultural Guild, founded by Robin Theisen, Carolyn van den Berg, and Sarah Clore, is dedicated to enhancing the cultural and artistic life in Sanford.
