Sgt. Roderick D. Lingard, 62, passed away on March 12, 2025, in Deltona, FL. He was born October 9, 1962, to the late Charlie and Etta Lingard. He attended Seminole County Public schools and graduated from Oviedo Highschool. Sgt Lingard aka “Boo” went on to join the United States Army, where he served 20 plus years, which included both active and reserve duty. Afterwards he worked as an Automotive Technician for the United States Border Patrol and eventually retired from the Department. He was preceded in death by Charlie Lingard Jr. , Herman Lingard, Hattie Lingard, and Stewart Byrd. He is survived by Denise Byrd, Beverly Byrd, Jackie Byrd, Charlean Brinson, and Ella Lingard, Herbert Lee Lingard, Herbert Lee Byrd (Emma), Raydon Byrd, Howard Lingard (Lakisha) Lorenzo Lingard (Margaret) Wendell Lingard, Donnell Lingard, and Shawn Lingard; a godbrother: Cleophas White, Jr (Dorothy) and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday, March 24, 2025, at 1045 am at Byrd Memorial Church, followed by a Military burial.
