Parking Lot Party

Tuesday, April 15, 5 to 8 p.m., Texas Roadhouse, 100 Towne Center Blvd., Sanford. Ladies 327, Inc. hosts this family-friendly event featuring a bounce house, face painter, henna artists, fishing prize pond, merchandise vendors, balloon twister, dessert food trucks, a DJ and special dinner options, for all ages.

 

WaterStone Church Good Friday Celebration

Friday, April 18, 4:30 to 9 p.m., 274 Cranes Roost Blvd., Altamonte Springs. Good Friday marks the start of the Easter weekend, and WaterStone Church is celebrating with a gathering to encourage hope and purpose in the lives of others. Everyone is invited to bring friends and family to worship and enjoy the festivities.

 

Eggstravaganza

Saturday, April 19, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., CrossLife Church, 45 W. Broadway Street, Oviedo. Free Easter egg hunt, bounce houses and more. 

 

WaterStone Church Easter Service

Sunday, April 20, 6:30 to 11 a.m., 274 Cranes Roost Blvd., Altamonte Springs. This free, family-friendly community service event will be held in the Eddie Rose Amphitheater in Cranes Roost Park. Enjoy a free continental breakfast followed by live worship. 

 

Sanford Community Easter Sunrise Service

Sunday, April 20, 7 a.m., Ft. Mellon Park, Sanford. Several organizations are joining the Sanford Masons to host a Sunrise Service. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this one-hour morning service on the Riverwalk Easter morning. 

 

Earth Day Sunset Hike

Tuesday, April 22, (Earth Day), 7 to 8:30 p.m., Lake Harney Wilderness Area, Geneva. Celebrate Earth Day by marveling at Earth’s natural beauty during this special guided hike. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful trails of the Lake Harney Wilderness Area, end the evening on the observation deck with breathtaking views of the floodplain and the setting sun. 14th Annual St. Johns River Festival of the Arts

Saturday, April 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. & Sunday, April 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Downtown Sanford on First Street. St. Johns River Festival of the Arts returns featuring artists, musicians, art demonstrations & hands-on art experiences.  

 

SSAA Monthly Meeting

Saturday, April 26, 12 to 3 p.m., Sanford Sheriff’s Department, Community Room, 100 Eslinger Way, Sanford. Sanford Seminole Art Association Monthly Meeting. Free, open to public. Nocturnal Reptile     Ramble

Saturday, April 26, 7 to 9 p.m., Black Bear Wilderness Area, Sanford. First ever night hike in the Black Bear Wilderness Area. Search for hidden swamp creatures including nocturnal snakes & alligators. Program is designed for adventurous & agile hikers. Ages 10+.  Children must be accompanied by an adult. Docs Rock for NF and 80s Dance Battle

Sunday, April 27, 4 to 6 p.m., 274 Cranes Roost Blvd., Altamonte Springs. Join the Neurofibromatosis Network for Docs Rock for NF for a night of great music, good vibes and impact. Enjoy free admission, food truck bites, a performance by Stone Lotus and an NF auction. 

 

Jeep Night

Wednesday, April 30, 4 to 9 p.m., Texas Roadhouse, 100 Towne Center Blvd., Sanford. Event will showcase approximately 30 Jeeps, feature a Jeep Night Drink, as well as other specialties and a visit with Texas Roadhouse mascot Andy Armadillo. 

 

Sunset & Chill

Friday, May 2, 6 to 10 p.m., 274 Cranes Roost Blvd., Altamonte Springs. Back again by popular demand is the fourth annual Sunset & Chill Scholarship Fundraiser hosted by Sanford and Orlando Entertainment and The Sanford Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. An unforgettable experience with live music from L8est Edition and special guests. As the sun sets, you’ll enjoy smooth rhythms, food trucks and an array of vendors. New this year, VIP tables of four seats are available. Dress to impress and don’t forget your lawn chairs.
