Nutrition Education Classes
Food is more than a meal. Nutrition fuels children in school, individuals at work and seniors to thrive. Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida not only works with a network of more than 870 community feeding partners to provide access to healthy options, but its Nutrition Education Program inspires and engages neighbors across its seven-county service area to incorporate more nutritious foods into their diet, adopt an active lifestyle, prevent chronic disease, manage a healthy weight and improve their quality of life.
Carolina enjoys being Second Harvest’s Nutrition Educator in Seminole County because she gets to connect with the community – in both English and Spanish – around something as essential and universal as food.
