What’s Easter without eggs, candy and bunnies? That’s a question Rescue Outreach Mission doesn’t want to find out!
The Sanford shelter partnered with the Sanford Lake Mary Kiwanis and First United Methodist Church of Sanford to kick off the Easter season with a festival to bring joy to our guests.
Included in the festivities were Marshmallow Coloring, Cookie Decorating, Crafts like Bunny Ear Hats and photo frames, Easter Egg Hunt with more than 150 eggs to find, Games, like the Bunny Ring Toss and a washer toss and an appearance by Easter Bunny.
In 1986, Mother Blanche Bell Weaver, Pastor of the Rescue Church of God, saw desperate people in her community living without basic essentials. With the support of her church and members, she was determined to help those in need. She founded the Rescue Outreach Mission to provide safety, support and a healing environment for her community.
