As part of the Casselberry Parks, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan process in 2018, the

City Commission identified and prioritized six park projects. One of the park projects identifiedand prioritized was the northwest property that straddled Winter Park Drive, now recognized as

the Casselberry Wheel Parks. All six projects were brought forward to the community in 2020 as

part of a $24 million bond referendum that would improve and develop the six parks.

The Casselberry Wheel Park projects broke ground in January 2024, and are being constructed

in two phases, with an overall contract value of $11,223,950. The combination of a park

referendum, grant funding, and a private donation highlights the city’s investment to provide

high caliber recreational spaces to our community.

Phase two, known as Casselberry Wheel Park West, is scheduled for completion in July 2025.

This segment of the park will provide a more advanced and technically challenging course that

will test teens and adults. Additional details about the phase two grand opening will be

forthcoming in the months ahead.
