Orlando Sanford International Airport Welcomes Arajet
with New Nonstop Service to Punta Cana
Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is proud to welcome Arajet, the Dominican
Republic’s low-fare national airline, with the launch of its new nonstop service between SFB and Punta Cana
International Airport (PUJ) beginning October 26, 2025.
This new route marks a major milestone for SFB as it continues expanding international travel options
for Central Florida residents and visitors. With introductory fares starting at $138 one-way and service
operating every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, Arajet’s arrival opens a direct, affordable, and convenient
connection to one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after destinations.
“We are thrilled to welcome Arajet to the Orlando Sanford International Airport.” Said Orlando Sanford
International President and CEO, Nicole Martz. “This is an exciting and meaningful milestone, not only for our airport, but for the communities we serve on both sides of this new route. With nearly 10,000 residents of
Dominican heritage in Seminole County and more than 85,000 across the greater Orlando area, this new service is more than just a flight - it’s a vital connection that brings families, cultures, and communities closer together.
It also offers a new travel destination with world renowned beaches, all-inclusive resorts and incredible eco
tourism spots. Arajet’s decision to launch service at SFB is a strong vote of confidence in the strength of our
region and the future of our airport. We are proud to be part of its growth story and are committed to supporting its success every step of the way.”
The launch of this new route reflects the growing importance of international connectivity to SFB’s
long-term vision. Central Florida is home to a large and vibrant Dominican community, including nearly 9,800
residents in Seminole County alone, and over 85,000 individuals across the broader Orlando metropolitan
area who trace their roots to the Dominican Republic. This service not only reconnects families and friends but also strengthens cultural and economic ties between the two regions.
Arajet will operate the route using its modern, fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, offering
passengers a safe and comfortable travel experience. This launch marks Arajet’s sixth destination in the
United States, part of the airline’s mission to connect the Americas with low fares and Dominican hospitality.
The addition of Arajet aligns with SFB’s strategic focus on expanding international service and meeting
the evolving needs of its growing passenger base. The airport’s ease of use, friendly atmosphere, and proximity to the heart of Central Florida continue to make it a preferred alternative to larger, more congested airports.
