SANFORD — While this past Wednesday was already scheduled to be the monthly event as part of the Ladies on the Lake Wednesday Night Series, Ana Holstein made it even more of a night for the females as she guided Black Jack to an impressive 1-minute, 24-second overall victory in the Malibu Rum Race sponsored by Filomena's Pizzeria.
Holstein was one of four lady captains in the race as Patti Miller piloted Fleur de Mer III to third place overall and Show Me was fourth overall with Diane Forrest at the helm.
The evening was actually a quadruple victory for Holstein, as in addition to the Rum Race and Ladies on the Lake Series wins, she also finished in first place in Displacement Boat in both races.
The LMSA was back in action on Sunday (June 8) as the club was the Sine Metu Jameson Irish Whiskey Race that was cancelled by weather in May.
