The bottle lies

Seminole County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a Casselberry apartment on the afternoon of July 27 in reference to a disturbance. On arrival, one deputy observed his colleague speaking with the residents of the apartment, a male and female. The deputy’s colleague exited the apartment, while he stayed and spoke with the woman. The deputy noted that the woman was inebriated, and she informed him that she had been drinking for most of the day. The woman explained that her and her boyfriend had been drinking heavily since 9:00 a.m. At one point, her boyfriend left the apartment to purchase groceries, including more alcohol. When he got back, the woman tried to hide the extra alcohol because they both were already inebriated. This angered the man to the point that he struck her with a baseball bat. The deputy noted that the woman had multiple large red markings on her right arm. After she was struck, the woman contacted law enforcement, which frightened her boyfriend. He then began repeatedly apologizing to her. After the deputy interviewed the woman, he switched positions with his colleague and interviewed her boyfriend. The man started his story with a similar beginning, explaining that they had been drinking all day, but diverged when the physical violence accusations became a part of the picture. The man said the argument between him and his girlfriend started over her mentioning that he recently went to a gentlemen’s club and that they both were arguing with each other over their alcoholism. He said at one point during their argument, he was lying on the bed in their bedroom and his girlfriend flipped the entire mattress over, causing him to fall to the floor.
