Jan was born in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up in Sanford. She attended local schools and graduated from Seminole High in 1970. She was a devoted wife, loving sister, and giving friend.
She was married to the love of her life and best friend, Rick Barineau for 38 years. Jan will be remembered for her loving and giving ways. Her smile could light up a room, and her absence will be felt always. She is now in a better place, reunited with her mother, father and brother.
Jan has left behind many dear friends, husband, Rick Barineau of Atlantic Beach, sister Jill Merritt of New Smyrna Beach, sister Joy Carver of Eustis, and extended family.
Jan's legacy is one of courage, commitment, strength and love. A shining light has been lost, but her memory will be forever present.
