Cody Moses & Grandchildren face Homelessness, desperate for Help

By Susan R. Wenner

Grandfather of 6, Cody Moses needs the community to provide assistance as he is faced with homelessness.

With caring for his grandchildren, ages 2 1/2 to 15 years old, he stepped in to not only provide a safe environment and a roof over the heads of his beloved family members but guide them.

Moses said, “I have custody of my six grandkids and they are all in school here in Sanford. I have 2 in Hamilton Elementary school, kindergarten and 1st grade, two in Sanford Middle School - 7th and 8th grade and one 9th grader in Florida Virtual School and the 2 1/2 year old at home.”

He shared that the house they live in was possible with the help of Catholic Charities.

“Not having all the documents (social security cards and birth certificates but getting them through IDignity) has hindered me from getting local agencies to help,” he said. “A lady at church assisted me with a GoFundMe page.”

As shared in his Go Fund Me, Moses is facing mounting financial challenges that have put him at risk of eviction, with $4300 in overdue rent and utilities for August and September. The eviction was served on August 29 giving him only until Sept. 8 to save this family.

Groceries, school supplies, checks, cash app - CMoses1946 and donations through the below link are desperately needed and timing is urgent.

If you can help please send donations to Stoza, Inc. at P.O. Box 543, Sanford, FL 32772 or donate through https://gofund.me/d8f1d4aa
