Family Feud

On Sept. 1, Ta’shayia Colter was heard screaming from the third floor of the building. Ta’shayia and her brother Jaquill, were having a verbal altercation over his residency in her home. She moved all of Jaquill’s belongings outside and he became irate. He successfully kicked the door open, trying to get in. While outside, Jaquill tried to reach out to touch an officer and was stopped and secured in handcuffs, while still physically resisting. While trying to escort Jaquill down the stairs, the officer was pushed and pulled, causing him to trip down the stairs and hurt his ankle. He continued to put up a fight all the way to the cop car, leading him to be charged with resisting an officer with violence.

Blunt Force Drama

On Aug. 28 in Sanford, police responded to an incident about a male being “pistol-whipped.” As officers approached the scene, they observed Jordan Howard flee the scene. During the pursuit, Jordan reached towards his waistband as though searching for a firearm. While running, he discarded the object, which ended up being a handgun. He was found with a green leafy substance, and he admitted he came to smoke marijuana with his friend. Jordan claims he found the firearm in Sanford but did not provide more information, leading to the charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a person under 21.

 

Choked on Love

On Sept. 1, police responded to a call about Lawrence Williams' concerns with his girlfriend. Williams informed the officer that his girlfriend was not being intimate with him, so he decided to view pornographic material and satisfy himself. This upset his girlfriend, causing her to remove the blanket that was covering him and record him masturbating. He kept asking her to stop, but she continued to record in spite of his efforts. He grabbed her phone and tossed it to the edge of the bed, when his girlfriend responded by straddling and choking him. She denies strangling him, but after interviewing all parties, she was arrested for domestic battery by strangulation.

 

Throwing Shade

On Aug. 27, Valerie Zambrana wanted information on why her roommate, Whitney Grutz, called the police on her. Valerie was informed that Whitney filed charges against her for burglary with battery and criminal mischief. Whitney claims Valerie broke into her bedroom and battered her with a lamp. Valerie comes back with says Whitney scratches and hits herself, then calls the police to blame it on someone. According to Whitney, Valerie broke her bedroom door and entered her room without permission. Valeria grabbed her lamp and broke it over Whitney’s head. She then punched Whitney multiple times. There is footage of Valerie and her soon-to-be Jaden entering the apartment, with Valerie stating “pxxxy axs hoe…I’m gonna punch you in your (fxxxxxg sxxt bxxxh, don’t hit my son again.” The officer then observed a bruise on Whitney’s left cheek, blood in her eyebrow, and scrapes on her chin. They went into her room and found it in disarray with the broken lamp on the floor.
