Any student who attended Crooms Academy, Crooms High, Crooms School of Choice and/or Crooms Academy of Information Technology are invited to attend the 2025 Historic Crooms Grand Reunion being held December 27 to 30, at 2200 Historic Goldsboro Blvd., Sanford.
You must be 21 or older to participate and the honorees are the classes of 1929 to 1970, with the addition of classes 1971 and 1972. The last two classes requested years ago to be grandfathered into this celebration and were approved, but the last graduating class was 1970.
It is now time to “Put Your Boots on the Ground.” If you look at any social media, everyone else is doing so. Where are those fans? Bring your gear, such as boots, hats, and fans. Each celebration, we try to include something new and different. So, this year, we are looking at a Formal African Attire Banquet at the Event Center. You can make it as fabulous or as extravagant as you choose or not! This will be a way of going back to the” Motherland”.
The full package for participation this year will be $200. However, if you choose to pick and choose the events to attend, the attached registration form has them broken out for each event. The best is the full packet, which includes all events, “T” shirt, bag and commemorative book, if we have one and if not, then program book.
We have planned the following activities, if you think you have any talent to share, please sign up and tell us your category. If you want some laughs to take with you, I am sure we will have some, both good and bad. Let’s make this a reunion to remember and memories to keep forever:
Saturday, December 27- (at Crooms):
Registration -10 .a.m. to 2 p.m. -Light breakfast, games and fellowship
6 to 9:30 p.m. - Kwanza Presentation, Talent Show, Swing and line dance contest and Sock Hop
Sunday, December 28 – (at Crooms)
11 a.m. - Worship Service
Catered Lunch (following Worship Service)
Class Breakout Sessions -3:30 pm - Until Monday, December 29
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Registration Packets Available for Pickup
Class Breakout Sessions (at Crooms)
Banquet - 6 to 10 p.m. - (at Lake Mary Event Center, 260 North Country Club Road, Lake Mary.
Tuesday, December 30 - (at Crooms) Final Day
Pep Rally - 10 to 11 a.m.
Kickball Game - 11 a.m. ato 12:30 p.m.
Fish Fry- Please sign up.
Please think of how you can help the reunion grow and how you can play your part by stepping up and helping in a special way. Please send your checks as soon as possible so we can know how to plan for these four days. More information will be forthcoming from Johnnie Ben Harvey.
