Celebrate National Service Dog Month With Canine Companions

Join Canine Companions Southeast Region for National Service Dog Month, With a Special Invitation to Meet Service Dogs and Dogs in Training and Learn About Their Life-Changing Impact

 

WHAT:  Canine Companions is celebrating National Service Dog Month with a special invitation for media to their Southeast Region Training Center.  Media will have the unique opportunity to learn about the journey from puppy to service dogs, capture training demonstrations, meet service dogs and dogs in professional training and interview graduates of the program and Canine Companions staff.

 

WHEN:  Friday, September 19, 2025.  Check-in at 9:30am.  Media event from 10am-12pm. 

 

Itinerary:

10am – Remarks from Canine Companions Southeast Region Executive Director Cathy Rodgers

10:10am – Presentation of National Service Dog Month proclamation from Orange County

10:15am – Future Service Dog training demonstrations with professional instruction staff

10:45am – 12pm – Interview opportunities, campus tours and b-roll filming opportunities:

-            Army Veteran Angie with Service Dog Hansen

-            Cristina Saint-Blancard with Service/Hearing Dog Yani (Spanish-speaking)

-            Jack with his father Jeremy and Service Dog Charlie

-            Available staff will include Executive Director, Program Director and Training Staff
