Central Florida Eye Specialists announces the addition of comprehensive ophthalmologist Dr. Todd Fleming to its team.
Dr. Fleming is a dedicated ophthalmologist with clinical expertise in cataract surgery, anterior segment disease and high-tech, quality eye care. He has advanced training in femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery and phacoemulsification techniques, including simulation-based coursework through HelpMeSee Global. His commitment to patient-centered ophthalmic care combines innovative surgical precision with evidence-based management to provide a more personalized approach for a wide range of ocular conditions.

Dr. Fleming earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency and internal medicine internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in art with a concentration in portraiture from Covenant College and completed his pre-medical coursework at the University of North Carolina Asheville.
A member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Christian Medical and Dental Association, Dr. Fleming shares his expertise at national meetings throughout the country, including the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as well as the annual Advances in Ophthalmology: John Dickerson Lectureship. His research interests on glaucoma, ocular inflammation, and surgical outcomes have been nationally recognized and published in peer-reviewed journals such as Cell Signaling, The FASEB Journal and the Journal of Surgical Education. Outside of medicine, Dr. Fleming continues to pursue his passion for portraiture and landscape art.
