The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently hosted a statewide conference for single members living in Florida.
Held at Walt Disney World, Orlando, over 2000 attendees spent time learning more about their faith, mingling with each other and participating in a unique service project. Organizers assembled and delivered 1,000 much needed backpacks full of school supplies to A Gift for Teaching for the upcoming school year.
Through service and spiritual enrichment, the conference helped to unify these faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ. They strengthened testimonies, contributed their talents, found unity and personal growth. It helped strengthen young single adults by giving them a sense of belonging and to feel better connected to the Savior.
Elder Daniel Amato, a regional Church leader serving Central and Southern Florida, expressed, “We are honored and excited to host the second annual YSA Conference for all young single adults ages 18 to 35 across the state of Florida. This year, we look forward to welcoming 2000 young adults—both members and friends of the Church—for a weekend filled with faith, friendship, service, and joy.” Elder Amato continued, “Our 2025 theme, One in Christ, reflects our desire to unite in purpose, hope, and discipleship as we draw closer to the Savior and to one another. Building on the miracles we witnessed last year, this year’s conference promises to be an even more powerful and unforgettable experience.”
Hyrum Von Niederhausern, a resident of Orlando, FL explained, “This year’s theme reminds me of the scripture in Ephesians, where the church is described as the body of Christ. Every member is like an organ that the whole body needs to live. Each of us has something unique to offer, and together, we support and strengthen one another. It impresses me that 2000 people are all here to have an amazing experience together.”
