Butch “Charlie” Williamson was born in North Carolina, before he found a home in Sanford for around the last 50 years. Butch was the proud owner of the Sanford business, The Tax Shoppe. He achieved his Masters in Tax and his Bachelors is Business making those some of his personal crowning achievements. He has proudly been serving his customers since 1998. All who knew him felt the experience and dedication that he poured into each customer, and over the years amounted into the successful business he was so proud of working alongside his wife, Jane. Butch and Jane were married in 2014 on the special date of 12/13/14 surrounded by their loving family. They worked in sync within their house and business, and as a couple they made an incredible team filled with love and commitment to each other and their family. Together they share 4 daughters, and 2 sons. Butch was a loving father and took any opportunities to mention his children and their accomplishments. The most important being that they gave him his beloved grandchildren. Butch was an outstanding Papa that loved each grandchild (9) and even great grandchildren (3) beyond measure filling their lives with endless couch naps, ice cream treats and vacations that will remain with them for their lifetime.
We will honor him in a celebration of life on November 15th at The Sanford Galleon between 4pm-7pm and will dedicate that time to cherish him and the incredible impact he made in so many lives.
