The Seminole County Retired Educators Association met on September 9, at Filomena’s Restaurant in Lake Mary.
The highlight of the gathering was the presentation of a $1000 scholarship to Selah Sumner, a Lyman High School graduate now majoring in education at UCF. Also receiving recognition were past president Darlene Cooper and long-time secretary Cindy Huggins.
For a special treat, after lunch, instructor Jenny Jump led the group in an introductory chair yoga session.
The next SCREA meeting will take place on November 11 from 11:30 - 2:00 at Filomena’s, 3590 N US 17-92, Lake Mary.
