As we “fall back” into Eastern Standard Time this weekend, watering restrictions are also shifting. Beginning November 2, residents can water their lawns up to once per week. It's important to remember that with cooler temperatures and shorter days, most lawns, gardens and landscapes only need water when truly necessary.
This seasonal shift is the perfect opportunity to remind your audience that overwatering not only wastes water and increases utility bills, it can harm our environment and our lawns.
To help inform your audience, we’d like to offer an interview with a District expert who can speak on:
- Updated watering schedules and rules during Eastern Standard Time
- How to tell when your lawn actually needs water (signs of stress, soil moisture, etc.)
- Practical tips to save water indoors and outdoor
Our expert can provide timely, local guidance to help residents protect their landscapes, conserve water and prepare for the months ahead.
