Second Harvest Food Bank & The Sharing Center team up to Feed Hope in Seminole County
Second Harvest Food Bank & The Sharing Center teamed up for a mobile food distribution at Annunciation Catholic Church.
As the cost of living remains high, many families, seniors and veterans continue to face difficult decisions about their budget. Too often, it’s easy to eat less or skip meals when faced with keeping the lights on, buying medicine or putting gas in the car.
Across Central Florida, one in seven people is at risk of experiencing hunger on any given day. As the region’s largest emergency food provider, Second Harvest distributes enough food to provide 300,000 meals a day, yet the need for assistance remains significantly higher than pre-pandemic levels.
This mobile food distribution on October 17 coincides with the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty – a reminder that food insecurity remains one of the most pressing barriers to stability and opportunity for many neighbors in Central Florida and beyond.
