Hollerbach’s Krampusnacht

Thursday, Dec. 4, 5 to 9 p.m., Magnolia Square & Magnolia Avenue to 2nd Street, Sanford. Hollerbach’s Has Heart, Inc. to host the adult-oriented Hollerbach’s Krampusnacht. The public is invited to dress up and join in this annual event. Krampus, the legendary horned creature with fangs, will appear in the ultimate battle of good & evil as we watch Krampus vs. St. Nick throw down in the wrestling ring to ensure the security of the City’s holiday assets in Magnolia Square, including the holiday tree, decorations, landscaping lights, etc.


 

Annual Tree Lighting Celebration - Oviedo

Thursday, Dec. 4, 5 p.m., Center Lake Park, 299 Center Lake Lane, Oviedo. Theme is “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas,”celebrating the upcoming 70th anniversary of the release of Bing Crosby’s White Christmas. Free photos with Santa, carolers, food trucks & vendor booths with holiday activities for the kids and live entertainment on the Amphitheater stage. Paws & Claus

Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fort Mellon Park & Sanford Riverwalk. Hosted by Seminole County Animal Services and the Sanford Fire Department, this event has grown tremendously in impact and excitement each year. Last year’s event had 24 pet adoptions and featured 50 vendors, highlighting the community’s support and the event’s growth.


 

Attendees can adopt a new pet, shop from local vendors offering unique holiday gifts, and even snap a memorable photo with Santa. It’s not just for humans—pets are invited too!

Light Up the Holidays

AdventHealth Orchestra Concert

Sunday, Dec. 7, 6 to 7 p.m., Cranes Roost Park, Altamonte Springs. This holiday season, the AdventHealth Orchestra is bringing its music to Cranes Roost Park. As the first ensemble of its kind in the AdventHealth system, the orchestra features musically gifted physicians, clinicians and team members who come together outside the hospital to share their talents. Audiences can enjoy an uplifting Christmas concert that blends world-class medical expertise with the healing power of music for an evening of inspiration and holiday cheer.

Wreaths Across America

Seminole Audubon Meeting

Sunday, Dec. 14, 2 p.m., IFAS Extension Education Building, 250 W. County Home Road, Sanford. Joan Teague will present information about migrants, vagrants, and others during winter birding at Ponce Inlet.  The comings and goings of the birds here can be very diverse and unpredictable influenced by tides, currents, storms, and human activity  Joan is president of Halifax River Audubon and does tours at the Marine Discovery Center.  The meeting is free and open to the public.


 

Museum of Geneva History

Sundays, Dec. 14 & 28, 2 to 4 p.m., 165 1st St., Geneva, or by appointment 407-349-5697 (leave a message). The History of Black Geneva has been up for a while now. Our newest display is Geneva Fashion Through the Decades. We have seven mannikins dressed in clothing donated by Genevans through the years from 7 different decades. Come see and read about the fashions of the decades, and after you have looked, try out a quiz of old pictures of Genevans on the wall to see if you can guess their decade.
