My December

By Yuvaan

Student Writer - Galileo School for Gifted Learning

December was a bustling month at Galileo School for Gifted Learning, a month that followed the return of students from Thanksgiving break. Middle schoolers successfully wrapped up their FAST testing this month. December also features a Middle School Assembly, providing a communal experience for students to share news and celebrate achievements before the holiday season.

As the final days of the semester approached, the atmosphere turned festive and cozy! A major hit with students was the special Pajama Day, where everyone came to school in their comfiest PJs, adding a relaxed and cheerful vibe to the campus. This day was paired perfectly with an enriching Movie Day, transforming classrooms into mini-theaters where students could unwind with films and snacks like popcorn.

Amid the fun, learning continued, with my Robotics class celebrating their hard work with an enjoyable pizza party by winning the Classroom of Distinction award. I am also excited for the new semester and uncharted academic territories it will allow me to explore. Across the campus, students are looking forward to the holidays, eagerly anticipating the activity-filled last days of school until winter break, Christmas festivities, and a well-deserved period of rest.
