SANFORD — For the second straight week the Lake Monroe Sailing Association avoided the afternoon thunderstorms and had near perfect conditions for the Wednesday Night Goslings Rum Race.
Nine boats and crews took to the lake with awesome conditions and a great breeze, but it was Terry Warren and his crew aboard a Multihull Boat with no name on the hull that enjoyed the conditions the most, winning by almost 4-1/2 minutes over Wicklow Way, under the guiding hand of Rich Gailey, which also claimed first place in Displacement Boat, and 5-minutes over Bad JuJu, Captained by Jim White, which claimed first place in Planing Boat.

All rules of the Wednesday Night Goslings Rum Race will apply to this series. If you are looking to crew, be down at the ramp by 6 p.m. If you are sailing, the starting window will be between 6:25 p.m.-and-6:30 p.m.
* Saturday, August 10 _ LMSA Members Club Race. Race #6 of the 2024 Members Club Race Series, sponsored by Sanford Brewing for the Hayden Trophy. Skippers meeting at noon.
