What: Got new electronics for the Holidays? The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is offering the perfect way to get rid of your old devices.
The Zoo is partnering with Urban E Recycling to host an electronics recycling collection event January 2-4, giving guests a convenient way to recycle old or outdated electronics while enjoying a day at the Zoo.
To say thank you for helping the environment, guests who bring accepted electronic items for recycling will receive 25% off up to four Zoo admission tickets, valid the same day as their e-waste drop-off. Clearly labeled collection bins will be located at the Zoo’s Admissions area for drop-offs.
“After the holidays, many people find themselves with old electronics that are no longer being used,” said Bob Chabot, Zoo COO. “This partnership with Urban E Recycling gives our community a safe, sustainable way to recycle those items, while also giving guests an added incentive to enjoy a day at the Zoo.”
The event helps keep potentially harmful materials out of landfills while ensuring electronics are properly and securely recycled, aligning with the Zoo’s ongoing commitment to conservation, sustainability and protecting wildlife and natural habitats.
