Urban Backyard Chicken Class

Wednesday, Jan. 21, 10 to 11 a.m., Online. Curious about keeping chickens and producing your own eggs? Our Urban Backyard Chicken Virtual Workshop is held on the third Wednesday of each month. Game Night

Line Dancing Lessons

“Florida, A History in Pictures”

Thursday, Jan. 22, 7 p.m., IFAS Auditorium, 250 W. County Home Rd, Sanford. Seminole County Historical Society hosts guest speakers, Jeff Davie & Mike McGinness. Special presentation, “Florida: A History in Pictures,” with more than 130 photographs. From the coquina forts at St. Augustine, oldest continuously inhabited city in U.S., to the Everglades or "Big Swamp" to Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Fort Myers Beach arches & Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.

Winter Fest

Moonlight at the Mansion

Join Derek Demeter, director of the Emil Buehler Planetarium at Seminole State College of Florida for an evening of out-of-this-world exploration. Guests are invited to view the cosmos using telescopes provided by the planetarium. The night sky will reveal stunning sights such as the craters of the Moon, the majestic rings of Saturn, the swirling bands of Jupiter, and other astronomical wonders. Come see & read about the fashions of the decades & after you have looked, try out a quiz of old pictures of Genevans on the wall to see if you can guess their decade.
