Special to the Herald
The City Council recently adopted Resolution No. 4358-23 approving a recommendation from the Public Art Board to commission artist Caryn Dahm to design a watercolor map. The watercolor map is a map of Oviedo and important local landmarks in the city. There are a total of around 40 small illustrations, representing elements that define the character and the identity of the City. Ms. Dahm worked closely with the Public Arts Board to craft the final design and officially presented the Oviedo Water Color Map to the City Council at the July 15th meeting. The watercolor map will be displayed in City Hall. An electronic version of the map was also provided and will be displayed on the City’s website. In the future, the Public Art Board may use the design to be shown in merchandise to be sold to support the Public Art Fund.
