The City of Longwood is excited to announce a special event where the community can come together to spread joy and love to hospitalized children across the nation. Longwood City Hall will serve as both a temporary creative workshop and a drop-off station for handmade
Valentine’s Day cards for Cards for Hospitalized Kids, an internationally recognized charitable organization that delivers hope, joy, and magic to kids in hospitals through uplifting cards.
Event Details:
2-Day Creative Valentine Card Workshop, Longwood City Hall, 175 W. Warren Ave., Longwood. Feb. 5 & 6, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Cards Mailed: Feb. 7
How to Participate:
Residents and City team members are invited to create personalized Valentine’s Day cards for hospitalized children either at home or at City Hall during the workshop event dates (Feb. 5 to Feb. 6).
For the workshop, all supplies will be provided such as paper, markers, stickers, and more. If you prefer to create cards at home, simply bring your completed cards to City Hall by Feb. 6 during the workshop for collection. We ask that all participants review the guidelines for making these cards prior to submission. Once completed, all cards will be sent on Feb. 7, to Cards for Hospitalized Kids, an organization that distributes them to children’s hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. These handmade cards provide encouragement, positivity, and a sense of
connection for children who are facing medical challenges.
