UCF SOFTBALL
The UCF softball kicked off its 2026 season by going 5-1 with five Run Rule victories in the annual Black and Gold Classic Thursday through Sunday at the UCF Softball Complex.
The Knights will close out their season-opening homestead by hosting Missouri from the SEC today (Wednesday) at 6 p.m. at the UCF Softball Complex.
The team will then head to Florida’s West Coast to compete in the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational at the Eddie C. Moore Complex to face Northwestern and No. 15 Georgia on Friday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.; No. 12 LSU and No. 14 Nebraska on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; and North Carolina State on Sunday at noon.
UCF BASEBALL
The UCF baseball team will open its 2026 season by hosting Siena at John Euliano Park. Games will be at 6 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with all three games on ESPN+. The Knights will hit the road for the first time next Tuesday (Feb. 17) against #22 Miami in Coral Gables at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field at 6 p.m.
SSC BASEBALL
The Seminole State Raiders baseball team (9-2) went 4-2 over the past week.

The Raiders were in Leesburg on Tuesday (Feb. 10) to battle Lake Sumter and will return to Jack Pantelias Field on Thursday to host Indian River State College at 2 p.m. before heading to Ft. Pierce for a doubleheader rematch with IRSC at 1 p.m. The team will wrap up the week by hosting CCBC-Catonsville on Tuesday (Feb. 17) at 2 p.m. at The Jack.
RAIDERS SOFTBALL
The Seminole State College of Florida softball team (5-1) will travel to Avon Park to challenge South Florida State College for a doubleheader on Thursday starting at 4 p.m.
UCF WOMEN’S HOOPS CONTINUES TO STRUGGLE
With several important players out with injuries, the UCF women’s basketball team (10-13, 2-10 Big 12) suffered pair of defeats this week, 67-57, to Utah at home on Wednesday and 81-58 to Oklahoma State in Stillwater on Saturday.

TOUGH ROAD WEEK FOR UCF MEN’S BASKETBALL
The UCF men’s basketball team (17-6, 6-5 Big 12) had a tough week on the road, falling to No. 8 Houston, 79-55, on Wednesday and Cincinnati, 92-72, on Sunday.

New Smyrna Speedway will be holding the 60th World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing, nine straight nights of heart pounding short track racing action in 13 different divisions, including the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, The ASA Stars National Tour, Southern Sprint Car Shoot Out Series & Modifieds of Mayhem kicking off their seasons.
Racing continues today (Wednesday) with grandstand gates opening between noon and 2 p.m. (depending on the day) and Feature Racing starts at 7:30 p.m. each day.

STETSON MEN’S BASKETBALL DROPS TWO
The Stetson Men’s Basketball team Stetson (8-17, 4-8 ASUN) suffered a pair of road losses in Kentucky this past week.
The Hatters fell to Bellarmine University (10-13, 5-6 ASUN) by a score of 92-71 on Thursday night at Knights Hall in Louisville led by Ethan Copeland (18 points, 6/14 from three, 3 assists), Jake Johnson (17 points, 5 assists), Calvin Sirmans III (10 points, 3 assists) and Collin Kuhl (8 points, 7 rebounds) and then fell to Eastern Kentucky (9-16, 5-7 ASUN), 100–88, on Saturday afternoon at Baptist Health Arena in Richmond despite hitting 13 3-pointers. Leading the way for the Hats were Ethan Copeland (23 points, 8-for-13 FG, 5 three-pointers, 4 assists), Daniel MacGregor (career high 19 points, 7-for-13 FG, 5 assists, 4 rebounds) and Collin Kuhl (16 points, 6-for-10 FG, 4 rebounds, 1 block).

Stetson Women's Basketball (15-8, 8-4 ASUN) claimed a pair of massive ASUN victories this week.
Cameron Thomas poured in a game-high 21 points and Aleah Sorrentino added 20 as the Hatters earned a 74-56 road win over North Florida Thursday night at UNF Arena. Doing the damage were Thomas (21 points, 4 three-pointers, 3 assists), Sorrentino (20 points, 7 rebounds),
Mary McMillan (13 points, 4 assists) and Promise Keshi (10 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals).
Stetson then turned in its most dominant ASUN performance in years Saturday afternoon, rolling past Bellarmine, 76-41, at the Edmunds Center for its largest margin of victory over a conference opponent since 2018. The Orlando Valkyries, reigning 2025 Major League Volleyball champions, suffered through a pair of 5-set losses home with four starters out injured.
