Poem by Saharsh Agarwal

By Saharsh Agarwal

Seminole High School Student Writer

The rooster cries and I wake up

My mother calls and I get going

School awaits, and I don’t keep it waiting

When I’m home, the homework cries,

“hey come here you little guy”

and then I pause, and proceed to sigh,

“Oh well, I guess I’ll play another time.

Then comes the time when I’m finally free

Does it last long? No.

My dad comes in, and he looks at me

Then I go back to working like a bee

Just like that, for the rest of eternity.
