Hitting your daily step goal is always a win, but on Saturday, March 14, Meals on Wheels, Etc., is turning it into something even better. The nonprofit will once again host its annual March for Meals fundraiser to raise money and awareness for seniors in Seminole County. |
The event runs from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and includes an optional 3.1-mile walk/run around Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs. There will also be music, beautiful scenery and great company. Attendees can then celebrate with a complimentary tasting menu from Meals on Wheels, Etc., caterer, Top Hat Catering.
Adults can register for $35, and children 16 and younger can register for $20. Every donation provides five nourishing meals for a senior, including a personal visit from a Meals on Wheels, Etc., volunteer.
“Meals on Wheels, Etc., is more than just a meal, and March for Meals is more than just a walk,” said Mike McKee, executive director of Meals on Wheels, Etc. “This event is a way for us to raise funds, bring awareness, and celebrate the amazing community we serve.”
There will also be a raffle, and T-shirts will be available for purchase.
