Stellar MLS, the largest multiple listing service in Florida and Puerto Rico and third-largest in the U.S, is marking its third year with Florida REALTORS® as a title sponsor for the Clean Up Florida Waters program. Stellar’s team rolled up their sleeves and took part in the month-long environmental initiative that invited REALTORS® and residents to join together and clean up the waterways, including lakes, rivers, streams, bays, Intracoastal Waterway, Gulf and the ocean across Florida’s communities during July.
“Stellar MLS’s involvement in the statewide waterway cleanup highlights our commitment as a company to maintain Florida’s beauty,” said Stellar MLS CEO Merri Jo Cowen. “This year we have 29 volunteers signed up. By participating, we are helping to preserve our state’s waterways so residents and visitors can enjoy these natural spaces.”
According to Florida Realtors®, more than 120 events took place across the state in 2023, with 2,238 volunteers collecting 23 tons of trash from more than 108 miles of waterways.”
“For the last four years, Stellar MLS has volunteered alongside our shareholders throughout Central and Southwest Florida for the Clean Up Florida Waters initiative,” said Shayne Fairley, COO of Stellar MLS. “The program has been near and dear to my heart. We have had so much fun getting our feet wet, making memories, and leaving some of our favorite water spots cleaner and brighter for everyone to enjoy!”
Stellar’s commitment to community development and resilience is deeply embedded in its culture, exemplified by Stellar Cares. Established in 2023, this charitable reserve aims to support community and real estate organizations through charitable giving, with the overarching goal of building strong, vibrant, and sustainable communities.
