Oviedo-based author, Bill Resimont, published his second book titled “Writing in Parallel: How Polling for Paragraphs Can Solve the AI Trust Problem” on Feb. 1.
The book was written by Resimont, who has resided in Oviedo since 1998. It details the concept of writing in parallel and its applications.
A classroom example was used by Resimont to describe writing in parallel. “Imagine all the students writing an essay,” he said. “Everybody is doing the same thing. All are writing in parallel.”
In particular, the book explores applications related to artificial intelligence (AI). According to Resimont, the biggest issue for AI now is that there is not enough data, but it can be solved by writing in parallel.
“Here is a way to create data that you can lease to [AI] models,” Resimont said. “You’re capturing real human thoughts in writing form, which is exactly what they want to train these models on.”
The book discusses Pollagraph Inc., the corporation that Resimont founded, and utilizes writing in parallel. “It is polling for paragraphs,” he said.
Resimont who served in the U.S. Air Force and later worked as a system engineer, once aspired to become an English teacher and writer. After retiring, he returned to that interest and began writing books.
His first book, “Writing By Length: How to Write Length-Based Literature,” was published in 2024. Resimont said it “heavily influenced” his latest book.
Paperback copies of “Writing in Parallel: How Polling for Paragraphs Can Solve the AI Trust Problem” are available through the online retailers, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
