New Smyrna Speedway will be hosting an Open Practice this Friday for all divisions _ David Rogers Super Late Models, Pro Late Model, J&C Gradall Modifieds, Sportsman, E-Mod, Super Stocks, Ashley Homes JAX Trucks, Mod Minis, Black Jack Seal Coating Bomber A, Bomber B, Florida Southern Ground Pounders and 602 Tour Modifieds _ with Pits opening at 4 p.m. and practice from 5 p.m.-to-Dusk. Admission is $20 per person in the pits.
On Saturday, the fast hale-mile will host the Chance Jewels Racing Pro Late Model Challenge Series Twin 50s, plus feature races for the Sportsman, Super Stocks, Bomber B and 602 Tour Modifieds.

ORLANDO CITY
After a win against CF Montréal last week and a draw (1-1, 5-4 Lions win in shootout) against Atlético San Luis on Sunday night, Orlando City won the East 2 group to advance to the Round of 32 in Leagues Cup 2024. The Lions will now host Cruz Azul on Friday at Inter&Co Stadium, after the Liga MX squad won its penalty shootout against the Philadelphia Union to secure second place in East 4.

* 45+6’ - Ramiro Enrique (Facundo Torres) – ORL 1, ASL 0 _ Moments before the end of the half, the Lions broke the scoreless draw on a Ramiro Enrique one timer. Martin Ojeda led an attack down the left wing before finding Facundo Torres near the far post. Torres headed the pass back to the middle of the box with Enrique running into the box before taking a one timer and beating goalkeeper Andrés Sánchez to the bottom right corner of the goal.
* 71’ - Rodrigo Dourado (Benjamín Galdames) – ORL 1, ASL 1 _ Atlético San Luis scored its equalizer midway through the second half on a header from Rodrigo Dourado. The visitors built up an attack before Benjamin Galdames took a pass outside the box and sent a cross into the box to Dourado who headed in a shot past goalkeeper Pedro Gallese.
