It was a huge week on the diamond, especially for Seminole Athletic Conference schools, as five different programs won District Baseball Championships, while three others finished as runner-ups.
Led by No. 3 seeded Lake Mary pulling off a couple of upsets to win its fourth straight Class 7A-District 4 title on the road, also hoisting trophies from the SAC were Hagerty (7A-District 3), Lake Howell (6A-District 4) and Winter Springs (5A-District 6), while Private School power Orangewood Christian claimed the 1A-District 8 crown over The Geneva School.
Also finishing as runners-up were The Master’s Academy (2A-District 5) and Lake Mary Prep (1A-District 7).
As of deadline time, the matchups for the single elimination Regional Quarterfinals on Friday (April 24) for Classes 4A-thru-7A and Saturday (April 25) for Classes 1A-thru-3A had not been announced.
