Seminole County teams continue to advance deeper into the Regionals and closer to a State Tournament appearance as the calendar changed from April to May this past week.
A quartet of Baseball teams were to have played in the Best-of-3 Regional Semifinals on Friday and Saturday and were looking to reach the Best-of-3 Regional Finals this coming Friday and Saturday.
Seminole High School was the lone Girls Flag Football team to reach the Regional Semifinals on Monday and a win will allow the Fighting Seminoles to host the Regional Championship Game tomorrow (Thursday) at 7 p.m.
The three remaining Girls Lacrosse Teams played in the Regional Semifinals on Saturday and the SAC is assured of having at least one team make the State Final 4 as another in the City of Oviedo Series saw Hagerty and Oviedo meeting in the Class 2A-Region 2 final. In 2A-Region 1, Lake Mary was at powerful Bartram Trail.
In Beach Volleyball, Lake Brantley is the only team remaining and took on top-seeded and unbeaten Jacksonville-Fletcher on Tuesday in the Class 3A-Region 1 final.
In Boys Volleyball, Lake Brantley, Lake Mary in Class 3A-1Region 1 and Lake Howell and Lyman in Class 2A-Region 2 played in the Regional Semifinals on Tuesday with hopes of advancing to the Regional Final on Friday.
