Mrs. Carrie B. June at the age of 85, (just a week short of her 86th Birthday) of Sanford, Florida passed peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, July 29, 2024, at HCA Florida Hospital in Sanford, Florida. Carrie was born August 5, 1938, in Micanopy, Florida to the late Percy and Ollie Mackey. Carrie and her family moved to Sanford at an early age. After High School Carrie began working in the Shipbuilding Industry for many years, after retirement she worked for the Seminole County Public School System in the Grandparent Program. Carrie was a Church of God of Prophecy member in Sanford, Florida, where she held many positions until her health began to fail. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband and best friend for over 64 years Ned ‘Joe” June of Sanford, Florida. One brother Eugene (Betty) Mackey, is also from Sanford, Florida. She also leaves a host of family, friends, and loved ones to cherish her loving memory. The viewing for Carrie B. June will be Friday, August 9, 2024, at Wilson- Eichelberger Mortuary 1110 Pine Avenue, Sanford, Florida 32771 from 5 PM until 7 PM. Carrie’s homegoing will be Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11 AM at St. Matthews M.B. Church 3724 East Main Street, Sanford, Florida 32772 with Pastor Carlton James of Church of God of Prophecy eulogizing. The interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery 1818 West 25th Street, Sanford, Florida 32771.
