Howard Thomas Rumbley passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, in Orange City, Florida. He was born on September 4, 1957, in Sanford, Florida. Howard was an accomplished artist, knownfor his paintings of nature, wildlife, and landscapes. He also enjoyed building model cars, a lifelong passion that began in his childhood. He also cherished the St. Johns River and valued time spent fishing with his brother. Howard seldom ventured far from his home in Deltona, Florida where he could always be found tinkering in his metal shop, demonstrating expertise as a skilled welder and mechanic with a talent for fixing things. Howard is survived by his daughters, Dayna Rumbley and Polly Dyson (Cliff); grandchildren, Lucianna James Rumbley, Haley Dyson, and Owen Dyson; siblings, John Rumbley and Myra Rumbley Muse; nieces, Tiffany Muse Stern (Bobby) and Amy Muse Price (Jimbo); great-nephews and niece, Dustin, Jacob, Blake, Colton, Lacey, and Luke; longtime companion, Shawn Clay; and his beloved dog, Fancy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie Dunn Rumbley and John William Rumbley, Jr. and his brother, James Rumbley. | |
